Capturing a Cambridge Day Out - Cambridge corporate photography

It has been a few days since I last updated my blog. I deliberately stepped back from taking on too much work, choosing instead to spend more time with family. That balance is one of the gifts of working for myself — flexibility — but it also comes with the quiet weight of wondering when the next enquiry will land in my inbox.
And then, as if by magic, the internet worked its wonders. I was invited to photograph a group of overseas delegates on a Cambridge day out, documenting their business trip and the moments in between. This was a wonderful reminder of why I love Cambridge corporate photography: every event carries its own rhythm, every group their own story.
The day began early, with meetings held in a college conference room. The east-facing windows filled the room with morning sun — beautiful but challenging, as the harsh light cast strong shadows across faces. From a distance, I caught a few candid expressions, moments of focus and quiet reflection that felt truer than any staged portrait.
When the meetings drew to a close, we explored the hosting college before stepping into another Cambridge tradition: punting on the River Cam. The chauffeurs, full of charm, lined up three boats side by side so I could capture the entire group in one frame. It turned out to be one of my favourite group photographs on the river — the delegates relaxed, the sky reflected in the water, the river unusually calm for the season.
My favourite candid from the day, now the thumbnail image here, was taken later in the afternoon. A delegate walking down Bene‘s Street, sunlight streaming behind her, creating a soft, dreamy glow. In the foreground, her smile — gentle, genuine, unforgettable. Moments like this are why I love being an 英国中文摄影师 in Cambridge: to tell stories not only with light and shadow, but with emotion.
More shoots await me next week, and I will keep sharing this journey. For now, I am simply grateful — for the trust of my clients, for the timeless beauty of Cambridge, and for the chance to capture these fleeting, precious moments.
