Earlier this week I went to a client’s home to survey their lounge, which we will soon transform into a cosy home studio for maternity portraits. As I stood there, it suddenly struck me – I already have all the studio gear sitting neatly in my garage, so why not make use of it to create pop-up studios right in my clients’ homes?
Sure, there can be challenges – ceiling height, natural light sources, limited space – but those are the moments when creativity truly comes alive. A simple living room (or any suitable space) can become a professional Cambridge home studio, and with a bit of imagination, we can capture stunning portraits without the need for a permanent setup.
Since I’m not shooting for Vogue (at least not yet!), setting up essential flashes and backdrops in a home environment is both practical and effective. Backdrop displays are easy to set up these days, or we can even use a plain white wall (or any colours of your existing walls) to keep the focus on you.
I’ve seen countless requests for professional headshots on relevant platforms these days – from debutants in show business to professionals updating their LinkedIn profiles. This Cambridge pop-up studio concept is perfect for those who want professional results without stepping outside their comfort zone. I bring the studio to you, so you can feel relaxed, at ease, and confident – the key ingredients to achieving the headshots and portraits you’ve always wanted.
So if you’re looking for a Cambridge professional headshot, whether for work, personal branding, or simply a timeless portrait, drop me a message. Let’s turn your home into a studio space and create images that you’ll be proud to share.
